Alexandru-Milentie Hada

PhD Student

Research Interests

Alexandru is a first year PhD student in Physiscs and a member of the NLMC group for 5 years. His research interest was towards the synthesis and biofunctionalization of core-shell gold-silver nanoparticles, while lately it shifted to the synthesis of fluorescence self-emiting gold nanoclusters for real-time image-guided surgery of ovarian cancer.

  • Synthesis of colloidal gold, silver and gold-silver nanoparticles
  • Synthesis of fluorescence self-emiting gold nanoclusters
  • Spectroscopic techniques (UV-VIS, DLS, zeta potential)
  • Raman and Surface enhanced Raman Spectroscopy
  • Steady-state Fluorescence Spectroscopy

International visibility

  • Co-author of 2 ISI and 1 non-ISI papers (2 as main author) with a cumulated impact factor of 7, Hirsh index: 2 (Scholar, WoS), 11 citations (Scholar, WoS)
  • 1 oral and 1 poster presentation at International and National conferences as the main presenter
  • 1 Scientific Performance Scholarship
  • 1 Erasmus Traineeship Mobility Grant (5 months) to University of Messina, CHIBIOFARAM Department, Asoc. Prof. Anna Piperno's research team
