Research Interests
Her current interests involve interdisciplinary research focused on synthesizing multifunctional plasmonic nanoparticles, as effective biomedical agents for three major applications: biosensing, cancer therapy, and regenerative nanomedicine.
Expertise
• Design and development of theranostic nanoplatforms for cancer detection, imaging, and therapy
• Synthesis of different sized and shaped colloidal metallic and polymeric nanoparticles
• Nanoparticles characterization, functionalization, and the study of their interaction with proteins, polymers, and drugs using spectroscopic techniques
• Cell culture and evaluation of nanoparticles’ effect via specific viability assays and fluorescence microscopy
